A little bit about me

I didn't actively find my passion, it found me. My interest in nutrition started at a young age with food being the highlight of my days. I LOVED food, and still do!  Like the majority of us, I dabbled in different diets to see what would happen and how it affected my weight, energy and tennis performance. Also like most, none were long term, and if anything, made me realize how effective marketing is. The real 'aha moment' came when I got to know my clients struggles, desires and true values through working in private practice in Australia. Understanding nutrition science is only one piece to the puzzle. I am a non-diet dietitian who has been fortunate enough to have been apart of hundreds of client journeys, and let me tell you- THERE ARE SO MANY MORE PIECES!

Nutrition and Dietetics

After completing my Bachelors in Nutrition and Dietetics and Masters in Nutrition and Dietetic Practice, my latest adventure led me to Brisbane, Australia, where I helped run a private practice seeing up to 40 clients a week specializing in clinical eating disorders, disordered eating and sports performance. Collaborating with other health professionals and supporting my clients one on one in their own journey to health and happiness is my favorite part about being a dietitian.

My first love is and will always be, life as a tennis player (although pickle ball is coming in hot!). I played tennis all my life at a national level before playing for Auburn University (War Eagle!), a division 1, NCAA university for 4 years. This experience was the first time I saw first hand how nutrition impacts the body physically and mentally and inevitably performance.

Living in the athlete world 24/7, I fully understand the pressure to win, time constraints and body composition demands often associated with this lifestyle. I love working with athletes to help achieve a better relationship with food and exercise leading to better sports performances, which naturally led me to up-skill further to become a sports dietitian.
