How J.L.P. Came to be

Welcome to Just Love Pears! J.L.P. is about combining all aspects of health to overcome body dissatisfaction, optimize nutrition status, and develop a better relationship with food by identifying your WHY, working through your HOW so you can embrace your ME. It's time to start loving your pear!

 

What is so special about the pear? The pear is a universal sign to explain how us, women typically differ from men in body shape. Diet culture has had a strong presence in our lives for FAR too long. This focus on achieving an ideal body shape has led to disordered eating behaviors, triggered clinical eating disorders and is negatively impacting health. How does this impact us? Exhausted, stressed, anxious and dissatisfied in our own skin!

Food is Justified. I'm a dietitian by trade! Rest assure my first and foremost priority is your health. I want to teach you everything about eating for nourishment and building your nutrition confidence through an evidenced based approach.

Love.

Love your body. Every 'body' is a perfect body. My hope is you learn to love your it and all that it does for you. I want to teach you how to spot diet culture, why it exists and what you can do about it.

Food is Pleasurable. There is more to life than a meal plan, food rules and calorie counting.  I want to teach you how food can be eaten for fun, celebrated and with intuition. There is a time and a place for all foods!
